Tarrytown Music Hall prepares for rock-filled summer

In our continuing series of updating readers on summer concerts around the nation, we take a look at the Tarrytown Music Hall in Tarrytown, N.Y., a few miles north of New York City.

• On July 11, Sweet will make a stop in Westchester to play some hits like “Ballroom Blitz” and “Hellraiser.” Any Wayne’s World fans should take a look at this metal outfit.

• Cesar Millan, reality TV star from National Geographic Channel, will offer his canine talk to audiences on July 12. Expect some clever, helpful techniques from the world-renowned Dog Whisperer.

• Lyle Lovett stops by the Music Hall on July 21, offering his country-infused tunes for lovers of quality acoustic music.

• John Hiatt rolls in Aug. 7, sharing some songs off his new album, Mystic Pinball. This is a rare chance to see one of the most accomplished singer-songwriters in the business.

• Moody Blues fans should rejoice. Lead singer Justin Hayward is heading out solo and will arrive at the Tarrytown Music Hall on Aug. 9. On a warm summer evening, it’ll be cool to enjoy “Nights in White Satin.”

• Todd Rundgren. Todd Rundgren. Todd Rundgren. Is there anything else to say? The successful singer behind such classics as “Bang the Drum All Day” and “I Saw the Light” has had one of the most varied music careers of any singer in the business. See all that variety on stage in Tarrytown.

• If the Eagles upcoming tour seems too pricey, why not check out Don Felder’s solo tour, which stops at the Music Hall on Sept. 15. Who doesn’t love “Hotel California” to close out the summer?
