PREVIEW: Summer heats up at New Jersey’s PNC Bank Arts Center
The PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, New Jersey, will host a wide variety of country, metal, rock and rap acts throughout the summer. From Dave Matthews Band to Dolly Parton to Steely Dan and Korn, there’s a little bit of everything for everyone at the central Jersey concert venue.
Here’s a look at the June offerings …
Luke Bryan brings his Kill the Lights tour to Holmdel June 2. The country megastar will be joined by Little Big Town and Dustin Lynch. Tickets are $33 to $81.75.
Southern rockers Lynyrd Skynyrd join forces with Peter Frampton, a guitar hero if ever there was one, for a concert June 4. Their opening act is Jack Broadbent, and tickets run $25 to $125.
Dave Matthews Band brings their popular summer tour to PNC June 7. Lawn tickets are $40.50, and to sit in the pavilion costs $75 to $85.
Another country act to grace the stage of the PNC Bank Arts Center are the Dixie Chicks, who are making their big return to the touring circuit this year. They will be helped by The Heavy and Josh Herbert June 8. Tickets are $42 to $136.
Classic rock enthusiasts will enjoy this double bill: Joe Walsh of the Eagles and Bad Company, fronted by the legendary Paul Rodgers. The concert will come to Jersey June 11. Tickets are $26 to $169.
The Taste of Chaos tour with Dashboard Confessional, Taking Back Sunday, Saosin, Early November and Saves the Day descends upon the arts center June 17. Tickets are relatively cheap at $35 to $70.95.
The next night will see Toby Keith’s annual trek to the Garden State. He will be joined by Brantley Gilbert, Eric Paslay and Ryan Kinder. Tickets run $39 to $89 for the pre-Father’s Day concert.
Journey, Doobie Brothers and Dave Mason (of Traffic fame) make up a thrilling classic-rock triple bill June 25. Tickets for the time-traveling journey run $36 to $179.
Dolly Parton comes to town June 26 with her Pure & Simple tour. Tickets for this rare appearance by the country legend are $39.50 to $189.50.
