NEW ORLEANS — Shannon Powell, the “King of Treme,” offered an electrifying set at this year’s French Quarter Fest. His band played to a packed Jackson Square Friday, April 7. The drummer is a legendary figure on the New Orleans music scene, someone who gigs with his own group and also sits in with many other Crescent City musicians.
