NEW ORLEANS — Irma Thomas, the soul queen of New Orleans, dazzled audiences at this year’s French Quarter Fest. The singer offered catchy and moving interpretations of her classic tunes, and kept the energy high at Abita Beer Stage. The Friday, April 7 late-afternoon concert could not have asked for better weather or a more enthusiastic crowd. It was a highlight of FQF, for sure.
