2011 OSCARS: Leading Actress, Leading Actor
Unlike the supporting categories, the leading categories are solid locks this year. There have been front-runners who have emerged right from the start.
BEST LEADING ACTOR
- Javier Bardem — Biutiful
- Jeff Bridges — True Grit
- Jesse Eisenberg — The Social Network
- Colin Firth — The King’s Speech
- James Franco — 127 Hours
Thoughts: Colin Firth has this one locked. Period.
Who Will Win: Colin Firth, The King’s Speech
Who Should Win: Colin Firth, The King’s Speech
BEST LEADING ACTRESS
- Annette Bening — The Kids Are All Right
- Nicole Kidman — Rabbit Hole
- Jennifer Lawrence — Winter’s Bone
- Natalie Portman — Black Swan
- Michelle Williams — Blue Valentine
Thoughts: Natalie Portman is going to win this award, and although I love her performance, it’s a shame that Winter’s Bone won’t receive some love. Blue Valentine is also a great movie, and Michelle Williams offers an excellent performance.
Who Will Win: Natalie Portman, Black Swan
Who Should Win: Jennifer Lawrence, Winter’s Bone
