The Hudson Horror Show, which takes place biannually in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., has announced two more films for its upcoming festival on May 19. Joining Day of the Dead and Phantasm will now be the classic slasher flick, Friday the 13th, and the Hammer-Shaw Brothers production of The Legend of the 7 Golden Vampires.

A fifth and final feature will remain a mystery until the day of the event.

For lovers of the horror genre, the 12-hour marathon is a must-have ticket. All-day passes cost $26 in advance, or $30 at the door. The recent Hudson Horror Show in December sold out, so be sure to plan early for their fifth installment.

The festival takes place at the Silver Cinemas at the South Hills Mall, 1895 South Road in Poughkeepsie, which is about 75-90 minutes north of New York City. Things get started at noon.

Here’s our suggestions: We have a zombie flick. We have a slasher flick. We have a grave robber flick. We have a Dracula flick.

It seems to us the only thing missing is a good foreign film, perhaps a giallo or something from Spain. Maybe it’s time to revisit Lamberto Bava and his underrated Body Puzzle, or better yet, what about Mario Bava and the great Black Sunday? Bava! Bava! Bava!
