Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, the preeminent interpreters of swing music, will set up camp at Monmouth University’s Pollak Theatre in West Long Branch, N.J., on Sunday, Nov. 6. Expect spirited renditions of the band’s classic tunes, plus a few musical tributes and holiday songs thrown into the mix.

The concert kicks off at 7 p.m. Tickets range from $32 to $42.

BBVD has been around the industry for nearly 20 years, ever since they gained notoriety for an extended residency at the Brown Derby nightclub in Los Angeles and their cameo appearance in the great romantic comedy, Swingers. They have many hits, including “You and Me and the Bottle Make Three,” “King of Swing” and “Minnie the Moocher.” Their latest album is How Big Can You Get, a tribute to Cab Calloway. The band has also cut a live album and holiday record with swing-ified interpretations of great Christmas fare.

Arguably the hardest working act in the country (these guys tour nonstop), Big Bad Voodoo Daddy will get everyone’s toes tapping, hands clapping and heads bouncing.
